Friends of Isaacs Foodbank
FoodbankA foodbank started by a young Redditch boy called Isaac alongside his mum during the pandemic. Now operates self-service sheds across five locations, available to local families 24 hours a day, supported by a team of volunteers. Runs ongoing fundraising including raffle events and seasonal toy banks.
Why this page exists
Greenlands and Lakeside is full of unsung heroes
Every week I meet people running food projects, youth groups, mutual-aid networks and community spaces with almost no fuss and even less funding. They are the bit of the borough I admire most. This page is where I try to give some of them the recognition they deserve, and a route for residents to find them and get involved.
